Allison Gildersleeve opened up a new vocabulary in her painting practice during her Liquitex residency, with a transition from oils to acrylic. A fresh way of working emerged as she activated the whole studio, working on the walls, tables and floor, using the full range of Liquitex materials. Allison is a Sharpe-Walentas Studio Program Awardee 2017-2018, and used her time in our London studio to plan a mural for the Cynthia Reeves Gallery by pinning up her multi-media marks on plastic and moving them about to create layers of depth.
