SARI SHRYACK

Enter the vivid creative world of Sari Shryack whose colorful work covers a glittering spectrum of subjects, techniques and surfaces. Mainly working in acrylic and oils, Sari is based in Austin, Texas and studied Fine Arts under painting professor Todd Lowery at Drury University. She describes her world as “unapologetically colorful” and the best thing about being an artist is “making something new every day”.

As well as creating, Sari runs the popular social media channels @not_sorry_art, hosts a podcast, teaches painting classes online and in person, runs painting retreats around the world and has published her first book “Modern Still Life: From Fruit Bowls to Disco Balls” aiming to make painting accessible to all. Her approach is DIY: “Paint what you have on hand, there's no need to go out and buy expensive art tools and props.” And for Shari that could be a giant shimmering hot dog, or a pile of Y2K trinkets conjuring up the drive for perpetual self-improvement of her teenage years.
